However, this has not stopped Japan from becoming an increasingly leader in world sales, especially in Italy. In fact, the land of the Rising Sun still knows how to impose itself on the market with its range SH which clearly represents the best-selling type of scooter in Italy, but not just the only ones.
There are many high-level Japanese scooters, with one of the most loved which however has recently been experiencing a truly absurd paradox. In fact, sometimes the market takes truly unexpected directions, with costs skyrocketing just when no one could have ever imagined anything similar.
Honda Zoomer: the paradox of Japanese used cars
Between 2004 and 2012, the Honda had the opportunity to improve the range of its scooters with an iconic model like the Zoomer. It was a scooter with exceptional characteristics, with this version featuring a length of 186 cm, a width of 73.5 cm and a seat height of 73.5 cm.
The engine it mounted inside was a 50-displacement single-cylinder, which gave it the opportunity to deliver up to a maximum of 4.1 horsepower. It was certainly not the right scooter to reach high speeds, just think of how its power is less than a third compared to the SH125 current Honda.
However, there are some models that seem to be like wine, so as the years pass these not only manage to be appreciated, but even significantly improve their value. This is precisely the striking case linked to Honda Zoomer, a scooter that even today, 12 years after its exit from the market, can still be found on Italian streets in good condition 2893 specimens.
The Zoomer However, it was a historic scooter, so much so that it was the first in history in Europe to have a cooled single-cylinder four-stroke engine and with extraordinary fuel consumption.
