The Weapon in its DNA

The resistance to the Germans
A sensitive and lucid man, the brigadier does not hide his emotions when he talks about his most difficult years: «For me the terrible memory is that of the Fosse Ardeatine where I managed to hide so as not to be caught by the Germans, many of my colleagues and superiors were were arrested and died. I managed to escape capture for just 100 metres.” Also in Rome, he took part in the anti-fascist struggle in the Clandestine Resistance Front of the Carabinieri. Two newspapers a day
Today the brigadier loves to spend his days reading at least two newspapers a day, without giving up a healthy walk: «I don’t get up very early in the morning, I do my things, then a healthy walk in the garden. I have to read at least two newspapers a day, I dedicate an hour and a half to reading Corriere Adriatico and Messaggero.” A very special birthday was spent by Guerino, who also received a visit from the mayor of San Benedetto del Tronto Antonio Spazzafumo as well as that of the provincial commander of Ascoli Piceno, Colonel Domenico Barone, the commander of San Benedetto Captain Francesco Tessitore and the station commander lieutenant Pasqualino Palmiero, who gave him a gift from the commander, Army Corps General Teo Luzi, of a letter of good wishes and a letter opener with the coat of arms of the Carabinieri.
