Hisense has revealed the launch date and price of the PX3-Pro ultra short throw projector in the United States. The new model was unveiled at IFA 2023 as the successor to the PX2-Pro 2023. Improvements to the latest model include higher peak brightness and improved audio.
The PX3-Pro is a 4K resolution (3,840 x 2,160 px) projector with a triple laser light source for a brightness of up to 3,000 ANSI lumens, meaning you can use it to watch TV in a brighter room. This makes it 25% brighter than the PX2, which had a maximum brightness of 2,400 ANSI lumens. You can use the projector to project images between 80 and 150 inches wide (~200 and 380 cm), and Google TV lets you stream content from popular services like Disney+, Netflix, and Amazon Prime. According to Hisense, the model offers 110% coverage of the BT.2020 color space and supports Dolby Vision, IMAX Enhanced and HDR10+. Additionally, the device features a 50W front-facing audio system from Harman Kardon, compatible with Dolby Atmos, an upgrade from its predecessor’s 15W speakers.
Other features include a host of ports such as HDMI (4K@60Hz) and Ethernet, automatic keystone correction, and support for polarized 3D content. The Hisense PX3-Pro ultra-short throw projector will launch in the United States in the third quarter of 2024, with a list price of $3,499.99. It remains to be seen if and when the model will arrive in other markets.
