Tragedy today in Piedmont, one a 7-month-old baby girl died suddenly in a baby park where her parents had left her. The drama in a children’s facility in the town of Borgo San Dalmazzo, in the province of Cuneo. The terrible discovery was made this afternoon, Wednesday 24 April, when the educators of the children’s center found the little girl lifeless.

Subsequent medical interventions to save her were useless. After the emergency call to 118, health workers quickly rushed to the scene with the emergency ambulance. The doctors tried to resuscitate the little girl but unfortunately every effort was in vain and shortly afterwards they had to declare his death to everyone’s heartbreak.

The police also subsequently rushed to the scene to start the first operations investigations that can reconstruct what happened. The prosecutor on duty was informed of the case and he will probably order an autopsy in the next few hours to clarify the causes of the little girl’s death. At the moment, however, there do not appear to be any violent causes at the origin of the little girl’s death. The hypothesis is that it could be cot death syndrome. In fact, the little girl appears to have been sleeping in the cot when the tragedy occurred.

The news shocked the local community as the mayor of Borgo San Dalmazzo, Roberta Robbione, testified to La Stampa: “I have no words to describe the dismay and infinite pain for this little one of our community. As a mother and as a mayor I am close to the young parents, no one should experience this terrible situation, I am at their side and I am available for any need.”
