LG announces the availability on the Italian market of the highly anticipated 2024 ranges of OLED and QNED TVs, characterized by exceptional performance and an incredibly versatile and customizable user experience inspired by the “Sync to you, Open to All” vision. LG OLED technology confirms itself as segment leader for the eleventh consecutive year, leading the premium TV market with increasingly advanced technologies and an increasingly complete offering. The 2024 range is made up of an evolution of the M4, G4, C4 and B4 series, on which LG has introduced extraordinary technological innovations this year.
At the base of the 2024 OLED offering is the new α11 processor with AI, present on the LG OLED evo M4 and G4 models. The new processor is able to effectively improve image and audio quality thanks to a 70% improvement in graphics performance and a 30% higher processing speed compared to previous models. The Brightness Booster Max technology also leaves you speechless, which this year allows you to obtain brightness peaks up to 150% higher than that of traditional OLED TVs, for a more realistic and engaging viewing experience. The C4 and B4 series, equipped respectively with the renewed α9 Gen7 processor with AI and the new α8 processor with AI, confirm the viewing quality characteristics that make OLED the ideal choice for those looking for an immersive viewing experience thanks to vivid colors and precise, deep blacks and an infinite contrast ratio for extraordinarily realistic images. The artificial intelligence processors with which the new OLED TVs are equipped enable innovative functions such as AI Picture Pro, which offers improved upscaling for greater image clarity, respecting any grain of the original film and avoiding artificial effects; while the AI Sound Pro function makes the actions on the screen more engaging thanks to the virtual surround sound reproduced by the TV’s built-in speakers, further accentuating the sense of immersion and realism.
The flagship of the new collection is LG OLED M4, the first OLED television with wireless video and audio transmission up to 4K 144Hz. The range boasts numerous inch options this year (65”, 77”, 83” and 97”) which will arrive in the second half of the year. All models are equipped with innovative wireless technology that allows you to install the TV on the wall without visible cables thanks to the possibility of positioning the Zero Connect Box – the hub that houses all the typical connections of a TV – in another point of the room compared to the screen for an immersive viewing experience, keeping the environment perfectly tidy. In addition to a 144Hz refresh rate in 4K and full compatibility with HDMI 2.1 features on all inputs, the new OLED TVs are equipped with the Game Optimizer function, which allows you to quickly select and switch between the various display presets, and support NVIDIA G-SYNC and AMD FreeSync, which eliminate tearing and stuttering for a more dynamic and realistic gaming experience.
The QNED 2024 range expands with new models, premium technologies and ideal dimensions for every living space, thanks to diagonals ranging from 43 to 98 inches, which respond to the growing demand for large premium LCD screens. The QNED range has been designed to offer an immersive viewing experience thanks to the combination of Quantum Dot and NanoCell technologies, which increases the richness of colors and the viewing depth of content. In particular, the QNED 2024 range includes the QNED89, QNED86, QNED87 and QNED80 series. To achieve realistic contrast levels, LG QNED TVs use Advanced Local Dimming technology for vivid contrast and exceptional brightness. Furthermore, the QNED86 and QNED89 models have a 120Hz panel which, together with the 4 HDMI ports with VRR and FreeSync, makes them particularly suitable for gaming. The QNED 2024 range offers numerous innovations on the design front which, in addition to adopting a more premium appearance thanks to the reduction in thickness to just 29 millimeters and better cable organization, is also functional thanks to the height-adjustable stand that allows you to match the TV to a soundbar with ease.
For a richer, more immersive home entertainment experience, LG OLED TVs and QNED TVs can be paired wirelessly with LG soundbars using WOWCAST technology without compromising audio quality. The WOW Orchestra functionality synchronizes the audio channels of the integrated speakers and the soundbar to offer more intense and engaging audio while the WOW Interface allows you to control the soundbar directly on the TV screen with a single remote control. In particular, the SC9S soundbar is the ideal solution to combine with LG TVs thanks to its elegant and minimal design and audio performance: the two up-firing side speakers offer immersive audio while the additional central speaker, projecting the sound upwards, improves the audibility of dialogue in films and helps extend the sound stage.
In 2024, LG celebrates 10 years of the highly appreciated smart TV operating system webOS which this year offers new customization options for a user experience built on your interests: webOS allows you to create up to 10 user profiles on the same TV to adapt the experience to your tastes and preferences through recommendations based on usage history, customization of the Home screen and other settings including image quality presets. For an even smoother user experience, the Home screen offers a preview of recently watched content or most frequently used applications, allowing you to quickly and easily pick up where you left off. The webOS platform also guarantees high levels of connectivity thanks to support for Matter, the universal smart home standard for IoT interoperability, and support for Apple AirPlay and Google Chromecast, which allow you to easily transmit content from your mobile to the big screen .
An important novelty this year concerns the launch of webOS Re:New, the special program that will allow you to receive 4 operating system updates over the next 5 years to enjoy an always up-to-date user experience. The upgrade will also be available for the 2022 OLED TV and 2022 QNED Mini LED 8K TV models and will subsequently also be extended to other LG smart TVs.
