On the 34th matchday of the championship, the Serie A football league supports Legambiente’s 5X1000 campaign to defend nature and the seas from pollution
The environment and the Mediterranean Sea are increasingly suffocated bypollution. Over 900 pieces of waste every 100 meters of beach. A worrying fact for a sea that is one of the world’s biodiversity hotspots. This is underlined by Legambiente, which for over 40 years has been on the front line for the defense of the environment and the sea with territorial actions and disputes, awareness campaigns and calls to action, convinced that together we can make a difference, because those who play for the future, always wins.
A message also collected by Serie A League which during the 34th day of the championship takes to the field in support of Legambiente’s 5X1000 campaign “Defend the environment with your 5X1000. Your signature changes a lot” whose themes also include the defense of the sea. The invitation is to allocate your 5X1000 to Legambiente, because with a small gesture, you can do a lot for nature and to support the many volunteers in action. In particular, Legambiente in these over 40 years of age with its numerous volunteers has worked hard: ten thousand sea water samples monitored since 1986 with the Goletta Verde mobile laboratorythe historic boat that sails along the coasts of the Peninsula every summer, thousands of volunteer activities carried out in recent years with as many as eight million citizens who participated in the clean-ups organized since 1994 with Let’s Clean the World also along beaches and river banks.
