With regards to cycling safety, the Highway Code requires the use of lights and high-visibility retro-reflective jackets or braces, particularly when traveling outside residential areas in the evening/night. However, it is important to guarantee excellent visibility when using the bike even during daylight hours so as to be easily and immediately identified. Using high visibility clothing when riding a bicycle and activating a spotlight positioned under the saddle can make the difference.
