Green Community: the project takes hold, 16 municipalities of northern Molise are involved

The “Green Community” of Alto Molise comes to life, a project financed by the Pnrr and first place in the regional ranking with the maximum score attributable by the ministerial commission. After a period of discussion with the Regional Affairs Department of the Presidency of the Council, on 27 March the Department approved the remodulation proposed by the lead municipality of Agnone. Therefore, the energy powers to be installed in the public buildings involved must be adequate.

“We remember – they state from the Alto Molise municipality – that the Green Community, in addition to Agnone, involves sixteen municipalities of Alto Molise, including Belmonte del Sannio, Capracotta, Carovilli, Castel del Giudice, Castelverrino, Chiauci, Civitanova del Sannio, Pescolanciano, Pescopennataro , Pietrabbondante, Poggio Sannita, Roccasicura, San Pietro Avellana, Sant’Angelo del Pesco, Vastogirardi. It is an area of ​​543 square kilometers, which the commission rewarded for the balanced use of water, woods and landscape”.

And they amount to 2.6 million euros the resources provided by the project characterized by nine thematic areas. The most relevant concern the management of forestry assets, tourism and sustainable mobility, and energy efficiency.

“In the next few days – they add from Palazzo Verdi – the municipal administrations will meet to define the concrete implementation of the activities envisaged by the initiative, which is part of a shared project path that began with the “Alto Molise” GAL, then with the Snai “Alto Medio Sannio” and other territorial planning tools that have followed one another over the years. Now – they conclude – we can say it with a touch of pride: Alto Molise is a territory capable of expressing programming and planning of the highest level, capable of comparing itself with more developed areas of the country, demonstrating that for mountain territories it is possible to travel the path to a new development model”.
