Twice Maxey reached or exceeded 50 points: November 13 against Indiana (50 points) and February 2 against Utah (51 points).
The Sixers star was also called up to the All Star Game for the first time in his career. 21st overall pick in 2020, Maxey has improved her numbers every year since she’s been in the NBA, starting with 8.0 points averaged in the 2020-21 season.
Of the last year, the player increased his averages by 5.6 points, 2.7 assists, 0.6 rebounds. Tyrese Maxey won the MIP award ahead of the other two finalists, Alperen Sengun and Coby White. Among the three finalists, White was the one who statistically improved his numbers the most compared to last season. The Chicago Bulls point guard has passed from 9.7 points and 2.8 assists on average in 2022-23 to 19.1 points and 5.1 assists per game in the just concluded regular season.
