the twenty-year-old Giulia Vicini from Bergamo wins

The art of Pizzaloved throughout the world, was celebrated and re-evaluated in 2024 World Pizza Championship. This event brought together the greatest pizza masters to compete in a challenge of creativity, mastery and taste.

This year the winner was Giulia Vicini, a twenty-year-old pizza chef who runs a pizzeria in Bergamo together with her partner Giulia Zanni.

Giulia Vicini wins the 2024 World Pizza Championship

Giulia Vicini has won the Classic Pizza category, in second place in the category Nicolas Ribera, third Nicola Staropoli. The young pizza chef also won the Sustainability Award “The pizza of change”. On her social profile she celebrated the victory:

Giulia proved to be up to the challenge: in addition to winning the special prize again with a vegan pizza prepared with vegetables from the family garden and typical products of Bergamo, such as red corn from Val Seriana, she also took first place in the two most prestigious disciplines of the Championship, together with that of Neapolitan pizza STG.
