The next day, the echo of the night of celebration still hasn’t died down. Milan woke up colored in Nerazzurri and today, if the face office of Cochi and Renato, Jannacci, Teocoli and Beppe Viola were still open, it would have been all too easy to understand who spent last night intoxicated with happiness for the Inter triumph in championship and those in the Milan world who returned home with a scudetto raised in their faces. Dark circles and swollen eyes, some with joy and some with disappointment for the sixth consecutive derbies lost, but above all for having seen their old rivals rejoice. For the Inter family, today was a day of pride, starting with the double tarpaulin unrolled on the headquarters of the Nerazzurri club in Viale della Liberazione: in the first a tricolor with the number 20, in the second the two stars.
A morning that for many started later than usual, given that the celebration went on for a long time after the success in the derby. After four o’clock there were still fans in Piazza Duomo, after a night spent among fireworks, firecrackers, chants and teasing rivals, despite the pouring rain. As on the pitch, even off the pitch the protagonists were the footballers, who looked out from a terrace to chant and celebrate together with the hundreds of fans waiting for them in the square.
A few hours of sleep later, however, the celebrations moved to social media, in particular to Instagram where Calhanoglu and Thuram were the protagonists of a live broadcast that lasted about an hour which featured not only the players, but also the Nerazzurri president Steven Zhang. Someone used tactical sunglasses to hide their swollen eyes from the night of partying. Some, however, even though it was more time for lunch than breakfast, were even woken up by a phone call from their classmates, as in the case of Dumfries, who connected in the dark for several minutes amidst laughter and the irony of the comments. And then the surprise of Zhang, involved in the gags by Calhanoglu and Thuram. “Pres you got us for zero euros.

We cost less than a pizza, we want a gift”, joked the Frenchman, with the president lending himself to the joke. “Well, I knew it would be a mistake to go on this live broadcast”, Zhang’s reply. The Inter party However, it’s not over and will continue next weekend. The team’s parade on the open-top bus will therefore take place on Sunday 28 April: today, in fact, the Lega Serie A has made official the postponement of the match against Torino from 3pm on Saturday. at 12.30 on Sunday and, at the end of the match against the Granata, the Nerazzurri procession will start.
“A celebratory bus with the Italian Champion team on board will leave from San Siro. After a journey through the streets of the city, the bus will reach Piazza Duomo”, explained the club in a note, with the bus expected to pass through viale Caprilli, piazzale Lotto, via Monte Rosa, Cadorna and then arriving in Piazza Duomo. There the footballers will be the protagonists from a terrace overlooking the square, for a party that will continue after the spontaneous one last night.
However, it will only be the first half of Inter’s plan to celebrate their twentieth championship. The second part will in fact take place on 19 May, when Inter will play their last match of the season at San Siro, against Lazio: at the end of the match there will be an award ceremony with the presentation of the cup on the pitch. While to follow there will be an official evening celebration, in a location that should be that of the Castello Sforzesco in Milan.
