Tragedy in the Vicenza area where one 39 year old woman she died in an accident between two cars which occurred around 1.30pm in Monticello Conte Otto (Vicenza). The victim, who was traveling in the passenger seat, was a resident of Zugliano, also in the Vicenza area, while the driver is hospitalized with a reserved prognosis at the Vicenza hospital: the woman driving the second car involved was slightly injured.

According to the initial findings of the North East Vicenza Local Police, the two cars, a Lancia Y and an Opel Insigna, collided head-on, but the causes of the accident are not yet clear. Two medical ambulances from Suem 118 and firefighters intervened on site and extracted the injured drivers, noting the death of the 39-year-old. Together with the driver who was slightly injured, two small children were on board in the Opel Insigna, who were unharmed in the collision. The local police diverted traffic and investigated the accident. The firefighters’ rescue operations ended after about an hour and a half.
