From Justice League to Rebel Moon… and return. Zack Snyder he’s back as a protagonist on Netflix with the second part of his sci-fi blockbuster: The Scarmaker is not receiving enthusiastic opinions from the public and critics – so much so that, numbers in hand, it is the lowest point of the director’s career – but a curiosity that emerged from an interview will certainly attract the attention of his fans.
The person directly involved has in fact told us how one scene in particular of this second part was “stolen” from his plans for a sequel to Justice League, notoriously never made. As I know, however, there were already some basic ideas for a new adventure Batman And Supermanyes.
One sequence in particular was reused specifically for Rebel Moon – Part 2: The Scarmakerthat is to say that of the last supper among the warriors ready to face the battle against the army of the Mother World. In this scene, the General Titus and the others exchange anecdotes about the war and what brought them there: a scene dedicated to delving (too) quickly into the characters originally conceived with other protagonists.
«There’s definitely a Last Supper in Justice League 2 – said Zack Snyder to THR – He expected them to tell the story of how they got there, why Justice League 2 opened with us now 10 years in the future. She was kind of like, ‘How did we get here? and yes the Rebel Moon one has a similar structure to the Justice League 2 scene we thought of». The director himself admitted that at least the 10% of the new sci-fi blockbuster took inspiration from other ideas conceived for that film: «The percentage is right, but it’s not enough to make a film about Justice League 2 unthinkable».
Are you still thinking about it, then? Some time ago, possible synopses of the sequel and also of a hypothetical one emerged Justice League 3. In the second chapter we should have theoretically seen a team of villains led by Lex Luthorthe arrival on earth of Darkseid and deaths Wonder Woman And Aquaman. In the third chapter, here green Lantern And Flash who goes back in time to save Lois Lane and prevent Superman from going over to Darkseid’s side.
