Who won and who really lost the elections in Basilicata

The outcome of regional elections in Basilicata leaves no room for interpretation: a clear victory has arrived for the centre-right, with the confirmation of Vito Bardi as president. But how did they go? parties in this regional election round? Who can say they really won and lost the elections in Basilicata? Let’s see what the data says.

Regional Basilicata, Bardi confirmed president

In 2019 it was always the winner Vito Bardi, candidate of Forza Italia: at the time he obtained 42.2% of the votes, today it has risen to 56.6% (with one less candidate than then). The centre-left candidate, Carlo Trerotola, came second at 33.1%, followed by Antonio Mattia (5 Star Movement) at 20.3% and Valerio Tramutoli at 4.4%. Today, however, in second place is the alliance between the Democratic Party, 5 Star Movement and Avs Piero Marrese at 42.2%. At the bottom was Eustachio Follia, from Volt, at 1.2%.

How the center-right parties fared: comparison with 2019

Compared to 2019, a lot has changed in the internal balance of the centre-right in Basilicata. Five years ago the first party was there League, with 19.1% of the votes: today it stops at only 7.8%. Overtaken by Brothers of Italy, which goes from 5.9% to 17.4% today. But also from Forza Italia which rises from 9.1% to 13%. In the center-right coalition, 7.5% is also worth mentioning Actionwhich didn’t exist five years ago.

How the centre-left wide field went in Basilicata

The situation is very different in centre-left. The PD it rises from 7.7% five years ago (there were various civic lists at the time) to 13.9% today. In 2019 the civic Avanti Basilicata did very well with 8.6%, as did Basilicata Casa Comune today which garnered 11.2% of the votes. Then there are the Progressives, who obtained 4.4% in 2019. Today, however, there is Greens-Left Alliance which reaches 5.8%. Finally, the 5 Star Movement: five years ago it had its own solo candidate and received 20.3% of the votes, while today it stops at 7.7%.

Who won and who really lost the Lucanian regional elections

In conclusion, those who can certainly celebrate are in the center-right. Action, certainly, which did not exist five years ago and which today exceeds 7%. But above all Forza Italia, which gains four percentage points, and Fratelli d’Italia, the first party with over 17% of the vote. There is also some good news for the Democratic Party, which can claim an increase in support, although still below 14%, a result that is anything but flattering. However, the 5 Star Movement is doing badly, losing more than 10% of its votes five years ago. The same goes for the League, with similar percentages compared to the Five Star Movement.
