ALBANIAN VACCARIZZO A violent road accident occurred in the evening along Provincial Road 180 which connects the old section of State Road 106 with the village of Vaccarizzo Albanese. Two cars were involved in the impact, an Audi cross-over and a Toyota SUV, which collided almost head-on while proceeding in opposite directions. Some young people were traveling in the first car, while in the other was the mayor of the small town of Arberia, Antonio Pomillo. Some witnesses who were passing along the road at the time immediately alerted the emergency services. The firefighters of the Corigliano-Rossano detachment were on site and opened the car in which the mayor was travelling, allowing the 118 health workers to provide assistance. Pomillo was thus stabilized and transferred to the emergency room of the spoke hospital in Corigliano-Rossano.
