Crafts and commerce, from the Liguria Region non-repayable financing opportunity for business start-ups

Genoa. The Liguria Region stimulates business creation in crafts and trade with the opportunities, partly non-repayable and partly with subsidized and guaranteed financing, provided by “Liguria Craftsmanship Guarantee” and “Liguria Trade Fund”the two funds of 39 million euros in total, under the PR FESR 2021-2027, active from 1 March 2024. With the changes made in the Council, on the proposal of the regional councilor for Economic Development, in fact, they will be able to access the benefits non-refundable, covering 50% of the investment, even those activities that are not yet active, provided that they are started within 6 months of the conclusion of the financed intervention.

“Crafts and trade are two key sectors for the Ligurian economy. Not only because they represent over 80% of businesses, but because they are part of regional culture and tradition. It is therefore important to pass on, by reinterpreting in a modern key, crafts typical of our history, which still constitute an important pillar of our economic fabric today – underlines the Councilor for Economic Development – With these changes we also allow those who wish to start a craft or of commerce, but had not yet started the company, to obtain 100% of the investment without having to advance any financial amount. An important signal – adds the councilor – to support, with a combination of financing and non-repayable funds, the creation of businesses in the area”.

Interested businesses can submit an application, through the affiliated Confidi, and in collaboration with the trade associations, up to December 31, 2026 on the dedicated portals of the managing body, Artigiancassa. The many Ateco codes provided also include beauticians, hairdressers, bars or restaurants, bakeries, travel agencies, mechanics.
