CUSAGO (MILAN) – Tragedy in the world of work. Yesterday evening, Friday 19 April, an accident occurred at work in Cusago, a municipality in the province of Milan. A 23-year-old worker died. The 118 doctors, the police forces and the firefighters intervened on site.
The 23-year-old, who is originally from Egypt, he worked as an employee in a waste processing company and would have ended up inside the machine that crushes it.
The colleagues who were with him immediately called the rescuers. The firefighters of the provincial command of Milan carried out all the necessary operations to free the body. They then entrusted him to the care of healthcare workers, but unfortunately there was nothing more that could be done: the injuries sustained were too serious.
The police carried out all the necessary investigations to reconstruct the exact dynamics of the affair and ascertain any responsibilities. In particular, we will try to understand whether all safety regulations have been respected.
