Angelilli: “The resources allocated to the Municipalities have increased for the start of the bathing season”
ROME – The regional council chaired by Francesco Roccaupon proposal of the Councilor for Economic Development, Roberta Angelillidecided to allocate 3 million euros as resources for enhancement interventions and economic promotion of the Lazio coast, through the safe use of free beaches and mooring piers and docks, to support the 2024 bathing season.
The budget for 2024 has been increased, compared to last year, by 500 thousand euros, going from 2.5 million in 2023 to 3 million this year.
I am 21 the Lazio municipalities, all with accessible beaches, interested in the allocation. To these are also added the 2 island municipalities of Ponza And Come on.
The resolution provides for a series of distribution criteria of resources to the Municipalities:
50% due to the number of residents in each individual Municipality on 1 January 2023 and the 50% due to the linear meters of beach still free as of 31 December 2023 compared to the entire accessible coast of each Municipality.
The amounts intended for the Municipalities will be paid in a single solution.
The financeable interventions concern activities aimed at safety of access to the beach free, even for disabled people; at the cleaning free beaches; at the guardianship and supervision; at the safety of bathing and piers; to the elimination of plastics from the beaches and, finally, to interventions treatment and depollution of marine waters.
All expenses relating to those activities carried out during the 2024 bathing season, from 1 May to 30 September, will be declared eligible.
“This year too, the Lazio Regional Council has allocated an important contribution to support the coastal municipalities in the bathing season, increasing resources compared to 2023.
