Palermo And Parma they divide the stakes: at Barbera the advance match of the 34th matchday of Serie B ends with a goalless draw which does no harm to anyone. A balanced challenge that does not offer great emotions and leaves the situation of the two teams unchanged. Parma remains goalless for the third match in the last four matches played and rises to +9 in third place awaiting the Venezia match.
Lots of mistakes and few emotions
Parma takes to the field in Palermo to secure direct promotion and Pecchia chooses to make some changes in the starting lineup compared to the eleven that defeated Spezia at home. The first half hour of play sees two teams choosing not to overextend themselves, opting for an initial study phase. The only real outburst is in fact that of Mancuso, who kicks at Chichizola from a few steps away, from an initial offside position. Around the thirtieth minute, however, Palermo is forced to use the first substitution: serious injury for Di Mariano after a clash with Estevez which forces the attacker to go off on a stretcher; Buttaro enters in his place. Palermo revs up the engine and in the 35th minute Lund runs down the left wing and puts the ball in the middle which Mancuso arrives first of all, forcing Chichizola to work hard to reach the ball for a corner kick. Parma, until now imprecise and with few ideas, responds with Di Chiara who recovers the ball in the attacking area and concludes, finding a prompt response from Pigliacelli. At the end of the first half the last chance comes on the head of Delprato after a well-maneuvered move by the yellow-blues, but the ball hits the top of the crossbar. There were few real dangers for the two defenses in the first half of the game, characterized by numerous technical errors for both teams who returned to the locker rooms with the result 0-0.
Parma more dangerous but not very cynical, Palermo worrying with crosses
The second half opens with Parma putting their foot on the accelerator. Estevez and Mihaila try the conclusion without finding the target. Palermo tries to take advantage of the counterattacks and becomes dangerous with Brunori, who frees himself from Circati’s marking after a tackle from Henderson but misses the shot. The match continues at a higher pace than in the first half, but balance always reigns on the pitch. In the 68th minute Parma had their best chance, with Charpentier, who came on in the second half, who controlled a perfect pass from Man but finished on the outside of the net.
