This morning a serious accident occurred at work in via Cocco Ortu in Cagliari: while they were working on a balcony of a building, the basket on which two workers were standing overturned, causing one of them to fall into the void.
The worker involved, a man of around 40 years of age, was urgently transported to the Brotzu hospital in Cagliari with multiple trauma, classified as code red.
The accident occurred at number 7, not far from the civic market, located in the center of the city.
At the moment, the precise causes of the accident have not yet been ascertained. The workers were on a lift at a height of four meters while working on the plaster of a balcony.
Colleagues present on site immediately provided aid to the injured person, while 118 ambulances intervened at the scene of the accident.
Currently, the injured person is hospitalized in the emergency room and Spresal staff are on site to reconstruct what happened in detail and establish the causes of the accident.
