The “double warning”
Already booked during the 90′, he received his second yellow during the penalties for provocative attitudes (as he always does, in short), without but be expelled and thus leave the field. Was it a huge mistake? No.
The penalty rule
The regulation agrees with the Slovakian referee, Ivan Kruzliak. Rule number 10 of the Ifab, the International Football Association Board, essentially explains that warnings issued during a match, including extra time, are not then carried forward into penalty kicks. Therefore, a player who receives a yellow card, either during the match or during the penalty round, is not sent off.
