SAN SEVERINO MARCHE – THEarchbishop of Camerino-San Severino Marche, Francesco Massara, presents the meeting scheduled for Wednesday 24 April 2024, at 5.00 pm, at the Feronia Theater in San Severino Marche, entitled “Beauty in Faith”. Hero Don Luigi Maria Epicoco with his report on the relationship between art, faith and truth.
Luigi Maria Epicoco is an Italian priest, theologian, philosopher and writer. Born in Mesagne, in the province of Brindisi, he was ordained a priest by Archbishop Giuseppe Molinari in L’Aquila in 2005. He graduated in philosophy and obtained a doctorate in moral theology at the Pontifical Alfonsiani Academy.
He has written several books and articles of a philosophical, theological and spiritual nature. Over the years he directed the San Carlo Borromeo university residence in L’Aquila, ran the university parish of San Giuseppe Artigiano and was principal of the Higher Institute of Religious Sciences Fides et Ratio Issr of L’Aquila. From 2021 to 2023 he was ecclesiastical assistant of the Dicastery for communication and editorialist of the Osservatore Romano. Since 2014 he has been a professor of philosophy at the Pontifical Lateran University. Since 2023 he has been a professor of philosophical anthropology at the Pontifical Alphonsian Academy and at the Pontifical Theological Faculty Teresianum. He is involved in training full time and regularly holds conferences and courses of spiritual exercises for religious and lay people.
