A man and a woman suffered serious injuries in a road accident that occurred on state road 126 in Carbonia this afternoon. In particular, it is the woman who is in more serious conditions, so much so that she required transport by air ambulance to the Brotzu hospital under code red, while the man was taken to Sirai.
The accident between two cars, which occurred at kilometer 16, is currently being investigated by the local police of Carbonia to determine the causes. According to the first available information, the two vehicles they collided head-on, with the woman trapped in the passenger compartment of her vehicle. She was freed by the firefighters and entrusted to the 118 health service. Anas staff also intervened at the scene of the accident to coordinate the rescue operations and restore traffic.
