The song “Train” Of Franco Ricciardi wins the gold record leading the Neapolitan singer to achieve well two gold records in just over a month. «It’s as if the song was reborn – declares Franco – the soul has always remained the same but has changed skin!».
The author’s reference lies in the fact that «Treno» written by Mariano Alfano and Toro Fabiani is a song released for the first time on the album «First side A» in 1994, later in 2014 in the album «Children and Stepchildren» and the single is sung by the author together with Rocco Hunt. Hence the idea of rebirth, as if the piece “has been given the possibility of a new life” underlines Franco.
To date «Train» with 50 thousand copies sold it is one of the most listened to songs by the Neapolitan singer and also the most loved. Only last Sunday Franco performed with «Treno» in the program «Domenica In» hosted by Mara Venier on RaiUno and for which he wrote the theme song together with Andrea Sannino. «I am very fond of this piece also because it reminds me of when I sang my first song» he underlined.
«It was when my parents celebrated their wedding anniversary and in the same room where I was born, in the same corner where the bed had been placed ten years earlier, they set up the microphone and speakers and I performed in “Sun train” by Mario Merola. In that room I was born twice, first as Francesco and then as Franco. Today the news of this golden second fills my heart, an immense joy” concludes Franco Ricciardi.
