Liguria: the fourth edition of the Space Festival Award in Busalla from 27 to 30 June

Reserved for young people under 35 with at least a high school diploma
three-year degree, this year’s competition focuses on the theme “Horizons
shared: The path to social inclusion and equals
opportunities in space exploration”. The three finalists will present
their works at the Space Festival scheduled in Busalla from
27 to 30 June and on that occasion the winner or the winner will be announced
winner.

The Space Festival returns for its eighth edition and, as per
tradition, is announced with the proclamation of the homonymous Award which
will see the three finalists present their works as part of the
review created by the first Italian astronaut, Franco Malerba, in
program in Busalla from June 27th to 30th.
The theme chosen for the competition, which reaches its fourth this year
edition, is “Shared Horizons: The path to social inclusion
and equal opportunities in space exploration”: the participants
they will be invited to explore the related challenges and opportunities
to social inclusion and equal access to the field
of space exploration, reflecting on the implications of this
mission for all humanity.

The jury, which as always interprets the interdisciplinary character
of the competition, is still made up of the ever-present Don Giuseppe
Tanzella-Nitti, director of the International School for Higher Education
Interdisciplinary Research (SISRI) of Rome, and by the “lady of
comets” Amalia Ercoli Finzi, among the most important personalities at
world in the field of aerospace sciences and technologies, to which
this year Roberto Timossi, professor and scholar of
logic, theology and philosophy of science.

The Space Festival Award is open to young people of all nationalities
belonging to member countries of the European Union and of the Agency
European Space Officer, aged no more than 35 years and in possession of a
university diploma, even three-year. Any candidate can participate
with a single original paper, no longer than 35 thousand
characters spaces included, written in Italian or English, by

The competition is developed by the Associazione Festival dello Spazio in
collaboration with SISRI and is sponsored by the Liguria Region, the City
Genoa Metro and Busalla Municipality. As mentioned, the three
works selected as finalists will be presented at the Festival
of Space 2023 by the respective authors, to whom they will be offered
overnight stay and travel. Furthermore, they will be published on the site
www.festivaldellospazio.com and on the official social channels of the
Festival. The first prize for the first place consists of a
check of 1000 euros while the second and third place will receive two prizes
of 250 euros each.
