From 25 to 28 April 2024, Friuli Venezia Giulia hosts the second Festival of Historic Houses, a unique event to discover the hidden heritage of the region. Organized by ADSI FVG, the association of Historic Houses, the festival offers a rich program cultural events including guided tours, concerts and tastings.

21 historic homes open their doors

The homes, still inhabited by their owners, tell stories passed down from generation to generation. The festival offers a rare opportunity to explore these private residences, guided directly by their caretakers.

I am sixteen homes to open in the province of Udine: starting from Carnia with Palazzo De Gleria (Comeglians), descending into the hills north of the city with Casa Asquini (Fagagna), La Brunelde Casaforte d’Arcano (Fagagna), Villa del Torso Paulone (Brazzacco di Moruzzo), Villa Gallici Deciani ( Cassacco), Villa Schubert (Marsure), passing through the center of Udine with Palazzo Orgnani, Palazzo Pavona Asquini and Villa Garzoni, up to the south with Casa Foffani (Clauiano), the Folador of Villa Rubini (Trivignano), Villa Iachia ( Ruda), Villa Lovaria (Pavia di Udine), Villa Pace (Campolongo Tapogliano), Villa Ritter de Zahony (Monastery of Aquileia), Villa Vitas (Strassoldo di Cervignano del Friuli).

Three residences open in the Gorizia areaVilla Attems Cernozza di Postcastro (Lucinico), Villa del Torre (Romans d’Isonzo) and Villa Marchese de Fabris (San Canzian d’Isonzo), and two in the Pordenone areathe Palazzo d’Attimis Maniago (Maniago) and Palazzo Scolari (Polcenigo).

Events and activities for everyone

Beyond 40 events enrich the festival, including in-villa tastings, elegant dinners, book presentations, art exhibitions, concerts and conferences. A cultural offer designed to attract visitors from all over the area and beyond.

Guided tours with contribution for conservation

To participate in the guided tours, a minimum donation of 10 euros is required, a contribution intended to support private cultural heritage and the territory. Children and teenagers up to 17 years old can participate for free, making the event accessible to families.
