Tomorrow Tuesday 16 April at 5.30 pm in the internal room of the Bar Venuti in via Tommaso Cannizzaro n.146 in Messina there will be a meeting with Giuseppe Antoci, leader of the 5 Star Movement in the European elections in the Islands district. The first appointment for the electoral campaign for the 2024 European Elections is organized by national deputy Angela Raffa. Antoci’s candidacy was requested directly by Giuseppe Conte, president of M5S, for his commitment to legality against the mafia. “Giuseppe Antoci to continue our battles for legality in the European Parliament”, this is how President Conte announced Antoci’s candidacy, adding: “Our community is strengthened, our battle against the mafia is strengthened. Support our fight and we will not disappoint you.”
Giuseppe Antoci created the Anti-Mafia Code, a legality protocol, now called the “Antoci Protocol”, which is now applied throughout Italy. The EU itself has recognized it as a valid tool in the fight against the mafia to combat fraud on community agricultural funds.

The legality protocol he wrote prevented those who did not meet the requirements from renting public lands and then asking for European funds thanks to them. In 2015, thanks to him, with the verification of the names already assignees of the land, it was discovered that anti-mafia disqualification measures were issued for 90% of the people controlled, such as to lead to the revocation of the concession of the land and therefore of the European money collected. Suffice it to say that the turnover for Italy from European contributions to agriculture alone is worth 8 billion euros a year.
