After coming very close last Sunday in Altivole, today the Piedmontese Ludovico Mellano he didn’t fail and won the second stage of 94.2 km with start and finish in Trasacco, in the province of L’Aquila.
The 17-year-old runner from Cuneo, already a winner this year in Prevalle, won clearly, preceding Andrea Montagner of Borgo Molino Vigna Fiorita in the sprint, with Riccardo Fabbro of the Venetian team Industria Forniture Moro C&G Capital finishing in third place (Rodella in the photo).
Mellano, who already yesterday in the first stage of 104.4 km starting and finishing in Cepagatti had ranked in fourth place behind Magagnotti, Dentelli and Donati, at the end of today’s victorious stage he also went on to wear the leader’s jersey of the general ranking.
