The April 21st it is a date to mark on the calendar for lovers of culture and good cuisine of Friuli Venezia Giulia: the “SaporiBus” tour stops in Aquileia, offering a unique experience among the historical wonders and pleasures of the palate.
A tour rich in history and gastronomy
The day starts at 9:00 am departing fromInfopoint in Udine. Participants will have the unique opportunity to explore the archaeological city of Aquileia, recognized byUNESCO as a heritage of humanity. The program includes a visit to the famous archaeological area and the basilica, as well as the chance to discover the beauties of Strassoldo of Cervignano del Friuli.
Giovanna Rossetto, president of the Consortium of Pro Loco Torre Natisone, expresses great enthusiasm for this collaboration: “In addition to the historical-artistic beauties of Aquileia, there will also be space for lunch at the ‘Aquileia in Spring’ event and for a walk among the stalls of the Street market. Special thanks go to the Pro Loco of Aquileia and Strassoldo for their hospitality.”
Alternatives in case of bad weather
Don’t let the uncertainty of the weather discourage you! In case of rain, the program includes a visit to the domus of Tito Macro, the Episcopal Palace, the Baptistery and the Basilica, thus guaranteeing a day full of culture regardless of the weather conditions.
Next steps and how to register
After Aquileia, the SaporiBus will continue towards Spilimbergo on May 19th, known as the city of mosaic. Registrations for this stage are already open.
The cost of the tour is 45 euros per person, or of 40 euros for CNA members. The price includes transport, guide, guided tours and lunch.
