Tricolor victory today, Friday 12 April, for Stefano Belotti (center in photo), the diver originally from Zogno, born in 2004, with the Fiamme Gialle-Bergamo Tuffi.
To the Italian Absolute Indoor Open Championships 2024on stage at the Monumental swimming pool in Turin, in 1 meter trampoline Stefano Belotti wins the gold medal with a total score of 407.45 points (personal best), ahead of Giovanni Tocci (Army/AQA Cosenza) with 405.95 and Lorenzo Marsaglia (Marina Militare/CC Aniene) with 387.45. Fourth is Matteo Cafiero (Fiamme Oro/Canottieri Milano) while Matteo Santoro slips to fifth place, after finishing the preliminary round ahead of everyone. A decidedly different result compared to elimination phase in the morning, where the champion from Zogne had finished sixth with 288.90 points.
“Maybe I underestimated the preliminary round a bit, as it’s not a competition I do very often, while in the final I tried to give my best and found greater concentration. The dive in which I am most calm and I succeed best is the last one, the double and a half back and the one where I have to work the most is the double and a half back, which is the one a little less stable but which today was done quite well and in my opinion it was the key that unlocked the race.”
