new rates from 13 April 2024
Descriptive text here

Just this morning we published a summary article on how much it costs to recharge an electric car at charging stations, but in a few hours we will have to update it: Tesla has announced new rates at Superchargers.

To tell the truth, Elon Musk’s company has not explicitly said whether the rates will rise or fall, in the message sent to users we only read: “From April 13th we will update charging prices at Supercharger stations”. However, given the period, just a few hours after the remodulation of A2A’s season tickets, expecting an increase is a must. It’s a shame because, as we said in the summary article, Tesla now has the best pay-as-you-go rates for public HPC charging, i.e. high power charging up to 250 kW.

The fear is that now we could rise above 50 cents and even aim towards 60, which would be really bad. We hope for a small-scale remodeling, even if an official message sent to users doesn’t give us hope…

The good thing is that non-Tesla users who want to charge at Superchargers can still purchase theirs monthly plan to lower your rates, bringing them on par with Elon Musk’s users. Without a subscription the rates are higher, you also need to understand whether the price of the monthly plan will also increase or not. Tomorrow 13 April 2024 we will know all the details…
