It’s time to stop this carnage and impose serious, solid and shared safety regulations on the workplace – says Luca Maestripieri, Ligurian secretary of the CISL -. The appeals, the posthumous awareness, the promises to respect the rules are rhetorical tools that are useless. It is necessary to intervene in a structural way in every workplace: by increasing internal controls within companies, encouraging inspections, encouraging continuous training. You don’t mess with people’s health and lives. We at the CISL will reiterate this on April 13th at the PalaTiziano in Rome in a large national assembly on health and safety. It will be the most important day of a series of events which in recent weeks have involved the CISL in hundreds of assemblies and initiatives in the workplace and in the territories with the aim of raising awareness of institutions and businesses about this emergency, of improving and strengthening the contents of Legislative Decree number 19 and to promote a comprehensive proposal that puts an end to the intolerable loss of life in the workplace”, concludes Maestripieri.
