On 10 October 2022 a post was published on Facebook in which it is stated that NASA, the independent space agency of the US government, would classify “vaccinated people as HOMO BORG GENESIS … no longer as HOMO SAPIENS”.
The post is accompanied by a video showing a man speaking during a live online and stating that the Covid-19 vaccine would modify people’s DNA and that for this reason NASA would call vaccinated people “homo borg genesis, not homo sapiens”. The man in the video cites an alleged document from the Langley research center of NASA – a research center specializing in the field of the aeronautical sector – where it would be written what he claimed. The video also shows the name of the person speaking: “Todd Callender”.
This is a series of fake news. Let’s go in order.
First, Todd Callender released this interview on September 27th, as can be seen here. Callender has defined himself as an “international lawyer” and is known for having already spread disinformation against Covid-19 vaccines.
Let’s now move on to the content of the post being analyzed. As we explained on Facta on several occasions (here, here, here and here), it is without scientific basis to argue that vaccines against Covid-19 modify people’s DNA once administered.
Finally, contacted by colleagues from AfpApril Phillips, head of the press office at NASA’s Langley Research Center, denied the unsubstantiated report, saying there are no such documents.
