The actress Maria Rosaria Omaggio died at the age of 67. Born in Naples but resident in Rome for years, she had been ill for some time.
In his career he has starred in dozens of films, plays, TV series, written books, directed prose shows and operas. For her portrayal of Oriana Fallaci in the film Walesa, The Man of Hope by Polish director Andrzej Wajda she received the Pasinetti Award at the Venice Film Festival.

Among the films she starred in: Ass and shirt by Pasquale Festa Campanile; Gambling by Cinzia TH Torrini; The Adventures of the Incredible Hercules by Luigi Cozzi; It was a dark and stormy night… by Alessandro Benvenuti; Guido who challenged Giuseppe Ferrara’s Red Brigades; Looking at the stars by Stefano Calvagna; The Hail Mary by Ninì Grassia. On TV you have participated in numerous variety shows and dramas, from Canzonissima to Caro maestro 2, Donne di mafia, La squad; Don Matteo 5. Maria Rosaria Omaggio gave voice to Oriana Fallaci on the radio and in the audiobooks “Anger and Pride”, “If You Are Born a Woman” and “Pasolini, an Inconvenient Man”.
In the theater he created and performs “Le parole di Oriana in concert”, a show broadcast on Rai5 and RaiPlay and also on stage at the end of January 2020 in New York. The Rai1 film “Saturday, Sunday and Monday”, from De Filippo’s comedy, directed by Edoardo De Angelis with Sergio Castellitto, in which she plays Aunt Memè, won the 2022 Nastro d’argento as best TV movie. Among her latest shows, “Casa Pianeta Terra”: a journey through words, images and music from the West and the East, to communicate that Planet Earth is our home and above all that we are an integral part of it. In May 2023 in the Ara Pacis auditorium in Rome, on the occasion of the Night of Museums, he brought back on stage with the singer Grazia Di Michele “callalife” from works and songs by Italo Calvino, dedicated to the children victims of wars and the hundred years since the birth of the great writer. A great athlete, he had been practicing fist, sword and fan Tai Ji since 1988 and was a federal instructor for the CSI – Italian Sports Center. For her social commitment in 2005 she was named Unicef Goodwill Ambassador.
