From simple “tote bags” to objects of desire: fabric (or nylon) shoppers are the new must-have of the moment!
At first they were just anonymous shopper in tela useful, plain or with some writing, useful to keep on hand for quick shopping or for “support” when the “official” bag is too small: we are talking about the tote bag in canvas o nylonthe omnipresent “sportine” for years considered mistreated and considered second-rate alternatives.
But music has definitely changed in recent times, thanks to two famous brands that have lit the flame of a new need in fashion addicts. As Zegna which created a real phenomenon during the last Salone del Mobile. The brand, in fact, distributed free limited edition canvas shopping bags with two different prints that referenced the project Oasis of Zegna. Result? Very long queues to grab a free tote and, very soon after, the coveted tote bags magically appear on Vinted and Vestiaire at decidedly not very modest prices (even 100/150 euros, now, once the “hype” effect has passed, you can find them for 20/30 euros).
Another emblematic case is that of tote bag the Saint Laurent: for some time now, in fact, the brand has launched very simple canvas bags at a decidedly popular price (compared to the rest of its products on sale, of course): 75 euros for a bag in animal print fabric, andata sold out in a very short time. Having gone viral on social media, today this variant is sold out but there is no shortage of Saint Laurent-branded alternatives, which have become a new fetish for those looking for a designer but “accessible” piece.
