Whatsapp introduced a highly anticipated feature. It’s about the possibility of sending photos And video in high quality as the default option. This way users will be able to decide a priori whether to share low or high definition multimedia files. This significantly improves thesharing experience of the contents. New feature for HD content on WhatsApp
The new option was initially released in beta on iOS at the beginning of the month. Now, however, it is available in a stable version for all users on Apple platforms and also Android. If the feature is not yet visible, we recommend checking the availability of one update of the app.
So, now you can set the quality of your photos and videos by default. To do this, just access the “Settings
” to select “Space and data” and “Medium upload quality”. At this point you need to click on “Standard Quality” or “HD quality“. The former offers faster sending and smaller file sizes. HD mode, on the other hand, allows you to send files more slowly. In this case the files can be up to six times larger.
It is important to underline that the “HD quality” does not match the original quality of the file. WhatsApp always applies one light compression to the contents, even if minimal, to optimize the sending process. In any case it represents a notable improvement compared to standard quality.
The setting can be changed at any time. This allows users to adapt the quality sending media to their specific needs. With updates of this type, WhatsApp stands as one of the most versatile and complete platforms for all its users.
