From a super survey Capcom inaugurated last February, with the related results just revealed by the Japanese company, several curious statistics have emerged regarding its most popular brands, especially regarding the everyone’s favorite game.
Well, it wasn’t a game that triumphed in this specific category Resident Evil or Monster Hunter as one would naturally think given the enormous popularity and diffusion of the two franchises: the most loved Capcom game of all according to the Capcom survey is Devil May Cry 5which he got 15,157 votes from 254,148 total participants. The fifth episode of Devil May Cry triumphs over the original Dino Crisiswhich took home 10,978 votes, and on the third place Resident Evil 4 Remake, voted 9017 times. Immediately off the podium in fourth place we find instead Devil May Cry 3 Dante’s Awakening with 8521 votes, further proof of how much the famous Action series is loved by the public.
But for Devil May Cry the satisfactions certainly don’t end here: its historic protagonist, Dantewas elected as most loved Capcom character thanks to 26,874 votes that put him ahead of Leon S. Kennedy of Resident Evil (23,417 votes) and the timeless X Of Mega Man (10,550 votes). VergilDante’s twin brother, occupies fourth place with 10,178 votes.
From these results it emerges how much the Devil May Cry brand is still beloved and highly popular among the public, and a new main game would most likely be warmly welcomed by fans. At the moment, unfortunately, everything is silent about a possible Devil May Cry 6 which we hope to see as soon as possible, but who knows if Capcom will seriously take into consideration what emerged from its survey by mobilizing itself as soon as possible to move the franchise forward.
Also from the same survey it emerged that Dino Crisis is always in the dreams of Capcom fans, who have chosen it as the series that more than any other they would like to see again in action through new games.
