We expected this from Ubisoft Forward but, during the Xbox Games Showcase 2024, Assassin’s Creed Shadows comes out of the shadows and shows some gameplay clips.
The big knot to untie, among the many of Assassin’s Creed Shadowsis how Ubisoft was able to differentiate the gameplay between the two characters.
Yasuke, being a samurai with a powerful physique, is more suited to direct confrontation and the frontal approach. Naoe, on the other hand, is stealthy, silent and very fast – so perfect if you want to sneak up on a target, or infiltrate somewhere.
Will it work? The answer comes in the new gameplay trailer, in which we finally see the differences between the two protagonists which, according to the images released by Ubisoft, seem really marked:
In addition to an enviable style of gameplay in general, the two protagonists differ in agility and stealth versus brute power and great ability to use various weapons. Obviously everything will have to be confirmed with the entirety of the gameplay, but it seems that Ubisoft has a clear idea of how to make the two characters truly different.
Not to mention the general aesthetic resultconfirming the fact that Assassin’s Creed Shadows it promised to be the title with the most details ever in the saga. At this point we are really curious to find out more, as well as to try it for ourselves and understand if the saga can actually be reborn from a qualitative point of view and change gear.
This also with a trailer which, contrary to the initial announcement, probably also changed the players’ perception of this new episode of the Ubisoft saga.
