Will Resident Evil 9, Code: Veronica or RE 0 be at the Summer Game Fest? The well-known leaker Dusk Golem, who as we know has always been very close to Capcom’s projects, had his say on the rumors that one or more of these titles would be presented during the show hosted by Geoff Keighley.
“Just to be completely transparent, although I don’t have a full perspective on Capcom’s marketing plans or anything like that, personally I don’t expect any announcements related to Resident Evil during the Summer Game Fest,” Dusk Golem wrote.
“I believe Capcom has more announcements in store, but nothing related to this series. From what I’ve been told, Resident Evil 9 has been internally delayed and it will not be revealed during the summer period, as I said a week or two ago.”
Remakes or something else?
“Similarly, I don’t think the other projects related to the Resident Evil franchise are ready to be shownunless the Zero remake is somehow in a more advanced stage than I imagined,” the leaker continued.
In short, the fact that Resident Evil 9 and the new remakes of the Capcom series have appeared in the price list of a well-known retailer could be a simple placeholder that does not indicate the imminence of a reveal.
“The only small hope I can give you concerns possible smaller projects, such as a remaster, a secondary game or something I haven’t heard of. However, I personally wouldn’t have high expectations.”
“I suspect Capcom will focus on other games and intellectual properties today,” concluded Dusk Golem.
