Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 has been officially announced by Activision Blizzard

Activision Blizzard has officially announced the new Call of Duty game. It will be called Call of Duty: Black Ops 6thus denying the rumors that pointed the finger at the name “Black Ops Gulf War”.

The announcement was made via Twitter where the official Call of Duty account shared a very short video, which you can see below, with the writing: “A new dark chapter in the Black Ops series begins. Call of Duty: Black Ops 6”.

The video you find in the tweet shows the already well-known Cerberus logo that was revealed when Microsoft announced the Xbox Game Showcase and the subsequent censored event. At the time we didn’t know what it was officially about, but everyone took it for granted that it was Call of Duty. Now we have confirmation.

The video removes the censorship from the writing under the Cerberus logo. The black covered the name of the game “Call of Duty: Black Ops 6”.

Call of Duty Black Ops 6, when we can find out more

Via Xbox Wire, Microsoft has officially confirmed that the June 9th event will be dedicated to Call of Duty Black Ops 6. It will therefore be a complete presentation, similar to the one proposed last year for Starfield or, at least, with a similar structure.

The show start time is 1pm 7:00 pm Italian time on June 9th. After the presentation of the Xbox Games Showcase, there will be space for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6. We can assume that at least a first real gameplay trailer will be presented, but we also expect in-depth details on what we can expect in terms of plot and of multiplayer.

In the meantime, here is the first teaser for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6.
