Apple doesn’t usually hold events this time of year, so close to one of the biggest events – the World Wide Developer Conference of next June 10th – but it seems that the news of the next generation diPad Pros deserve a dedicated scene. It’s a “different kind of Apple Event», as announced by the posts with which Apple is sponsoring the announcement of new products. We’ll see how it will be different from usual, while we try to understand, collecting the various indiscretions, what can we expect. iPad Pro
The iPad Pro is the flagship of Apple’s tablet lineup. That is, that model that drives innovation forward on this type of product. The tablet has never replaced the computer, as it seemed to happen in its first years of life, but has slowly created its own space halfway between the PC and the smartphone. Above all, for models like the iPad Pro, the most loyal recipients are creative. That is, those who have thrown away paper and pencils to digitize their works, exploiting this digital surface to compose their drawings in pixel format. The first iPad Pro dates back to 2015: more and more greatmore performing (now features the same chips as the Mac), with a nib which really allows you to exploit your creative hand even in the digital world and a «magic» keyboard – that’s exactly what it’s called, Magic Keyboard – which, if desired, also turns it into a computer. It’s the flagship tablet, which also inevitably makes it the most expensive tablet. May 7th is the time to discover the updated version. According to the king of rumors when it comes to Apple, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, the new iPad Pro will mount a new generation chip, the M4which we haven’t seen on any Mac yet. It will be the first chip designed for support new artificial intelligence features which Apple is still secretly working on and which we should know more about at the WWDC in June. And perhaps we will already have some previews – at least on the iPads – during the event on May 7th. It would also be the first time an M chip debuts in a tablet. The iPad Pro should still have it two size cuts11 and 13 inches, with an Oled screen (before there was a miniLed panel) which offers greater brightness and contrast. The accessories
L’Apple Pencil it is the best companion for the iPad Pro. A fundamental tool for those who use this screen to draw and create. We should see at the May 7th event the third version of the nib, which could support the haptic feedback, that small vibration that warns us that a specific function or command is about to be activated. We will find out exactly how it will be used during the event, but it is likely that it will be associated with a gesture, for example shaking the device with your hand. Another new feature is compatibility with the “Where is” app, to locate the pen when you can’t find it around the house or among your bags. We also talk about interchangeable magnetic tips to have different traits. A black version of the Apple Pencil may also arrive.
In addition to the nib, the Magic Keyboard, the magnetic keyboard also equipped with a touchpad. The changes should be structural, with a new aluminum frame more robust and which will make the iPad Pro even more like a computer.
iPad Air
There should also be room for the iPad Air, which was born as a thinner and lighter model but today represents the more “stylish” version. For the first time we should see two versions of it, of two different sizes, 10.9 and 12.9 inches. Practically the same as the iPad Pro. In terms of performance, we should move from the M1 chip to the M3 chips. Here the Oled screen does not arrive: the screens remain LCD. So as to be able to offer a lower cost even to those who prefer a nice large display. No design revolutions are expected, but we could see new colors. To maintain the “stylish” look precisely.

Finally, there are those who also talk about some news on the Vision Pro front, the mixed reality viewer that Apple launched at the beginning of the year in the United States.
