Starting today, PlayStation players can also explore the seas full of dangers and surprises Sea of Thieveswith the PS5 version of the game finally available for purchase. Coinciding with the debut on Sony’s console, Rare also started the Season 12protagonist of the trailer below.
Capable of exceeding 40 million players, Sea of Thieves arrives on PS5 with a now well-tested game formula and strong improvements to the gameplay and the numerous contents published by Rare over the years, such as the crossovers with The Pirates of Caribbean and Monkey Island. It will be interesting to find out if Rare’s pirate-themed MMO will also manage to conquer the Sony console audience.
What’s new in Season 12
As mentioned at the beginning, today also begins Season 12 of Sea of Thieves, which as usual brings with it several new features, as well as a new season pass with 100 rewards to unlock.
They have been added two new types of weaponsthe double-barreled pistol, capable of exploding two shots at once inflicting tremendous damage and the versatile throwing daggers, useful in melee, for silent eliminations or for spectacular kills from a distance.
These are not the only new features, the new Season also welcomes new cannonballs and tools, such as the Bone Caller, which deploys support skeletons on the field that target enemies, and the Horn of Fair Winds, an instrument that makes the wind blow in a direction of your choice, making travel at sea and on water easier.
