The Plucky Squire confirms itself as one of the most interesting games arriving this year on the indie front and beyond, also thanks to these new ones gameplay videos which show various and impressive situations transitions between 3D and 2Dan element on which the title particularly plays.
As we have seen, the game from All Possible Futures and Devolver Digital tells the incredible story of Pennino, a brave young man who finds himself taking part in an adventure between quests and dungeons on pages of a bookbut if necessary he is able to leave the pages and act on the book as a real object, within a 3D world in which the rules are different but influence what happens on printed paper.

Another video shows what appears to be some sort of boss, which triggers a gameplay dynamic similar to that of Nintendo’s old Punch Out.
Yet another video, the most recent, shows the protagonist given a Jetpack, going through a 2D phase very similar to a classic shooter and then a 3D in which he can use rockets to fly in three-dimensional space.
The Plucky Squire does not yet have a precisely set release date, but is expected during 2024 on PC, PS5, Nintendo Switch and Xbox Series
