If the rumors about Switch 2 and the magnetic Joy-Cons were not enough, the insider OreXda fuels the community discussion by providing indiscretions on what, in his opinion, would be the strategies carried out by Nintendo in the production times of the two Switch 2 models made with Samsung.
The ‘deep throat’ who specializes in previews regarding Samsung claims that the South Korean technological giant is actively collaborating with Nintendo on the production of the next generation of Switch consoles, in particular on the creation of OLED panels.
According to him, Samsung is already preparing for the production of OLED screens which should be integrated into the Switch 2 model of the same name, destined to arrive on the market in 2025even if the leaders of the Kyoto company are seriously considering the possibility of marketing it already Switch 2 model with LCD screen by the end of 2024.
Behind this choice there would be both the easier supply of LCD screens guaranteed by Sharp’s factories and, as easily predictable, the desire of the Super Mario company to fill the stores with Switch 2 (albeit in the ‘only’ model with LCD display) just in time for the Christmas holidays, i.e. the most profitable period of the year for the video game industry (and beyond).
