Epic Games has updated Fortnite and now allows players to block certain emotes/dance which could upset the player.

The new setting is related to four specific emotes (Have a Laugh, You’re a Loser, Whiplash and Bana Millionaire). The Fortnite player can block them, so that if an opponent used them all the user would see would be the opponent standing still without making a sound. Obviously emotes can still be used and whoever activates them sees them: only the recipient blocks them.

“We want emotes to be a source of good feelings, but some (*cough* You’re a loser *cough*) can sometimes feel a little too provocative,” he writes Epic Games on Twitteras you can see above.

How to block emotes in Fortnite

Fortnite’s privacy menu

If you want too block these four Fortnite emotesyou must go to the Privacy menu on social media and choose whether to see them or not.

The default ensures that we will only see these emotes if friends in our group use them. If you want to continue seeing them even when played by unknown players, you will need to log in and change the setting. The same if you want to block them completely.

Among the latest news there is also the arrival of Billie Eilish in Fortnite Festival.
