Moon Studios published the early access version of No Rest for the Wicked on Steam, thus allowing users of the platform to Valve to preview the promising and ambitious Action/RPG. However, early access doesn’t seem to have gotten off to a good start, according to player reactions.
At the time of writing, in fact, No Rest for the Wicked has total reviews”average“, with the 59% of the 3607 verdicts left so far in favor of the new Moon Studios effort. The feeling of several users is that the game was in early access distributed too early, considering the lack of even basic functions such as the ability to customize the controls. There is also no shortage of technical problems, with a framerate that struggles to remain stable while exploring the game world.
Other players still struggle to understand what the real playful focus of No Rest for the Wicked is, claiming that it tries to mix together too many mechanics: at first glance it seems to present itself as an Action/RPG style Diablo, but then focuses on features closer to Soulslike, Survival and Roguelite. Furthermore, in addition to limited exploration, there are also those who point the finger at the camera, claiming that it makes it difficult to get a clear picture of the surrounding environment and its threats. There are also some doubts about the management of treatments, which require learning specific recipes and collecting certain objects to be recreated.
Clearly this is still an early access version, with Moon Studios having already collected player feedback promising to intervene as soon as possible to improve the game in all aspects that are not convincing the public at the moment.
