11 Bit Studio launched today beta test on Frostpunk 2as previously announced, accompanying the event with the publication of a “gameplay deep dive” video which allows us to take a closer look at the game’s mechanics.
We had reported in recent days that the beta is dedicated only to those who book the Deluxe Edition, and from today these users can therefore take part in the trial version of this eagerly awaited new chapter of the survival roguelike management game with a post-apocalyptic setting.
The video published by the team helps shed light on the features and news of Frostpunk 2, with further information to follow in the days after the trial period.
The beta will run for a week and allow players to try out the sandbox modeor “Utopia Builder”, therefore without the narrative elements of the standard mode but which still allows you to get a very precise idea of the basic gameplay.

The video is commented by the developers and focuses above all on the innovations introduced in this new chapter, in terms of structures, game mechanics and situations in which it is possible to find oneself, based on the same original concept that had already struck in the progenitor.
The release date of Frostpunk 2 is set for July 25, 2024 on PC and console, with launch at the same time as day one also on Game Pass.
