Alex Rins will undergo surgery in the evening, then we will know more about his recovery time. There were some injuries during the MotoGP weekend just concluded in Assen. Yamaha’s #42 in particular was the unfortunate protagonist of a violent highside right at the first corner of the long race held yesterday. He did not emerge unscathed: Rins in fact suffered a problem with his right foot and above all a fracture in his right wrist for which an operation is needed which will take place today. It is not clear whether he will also have to intervene on the foot later.
The message from the MotoGP rider
Alex Rins himself is responsible for communicating when the next step will be. “At 6.30pm we stop in the pits for a quick solution to the problem. I will keep you informed.” The Yamaha rider, who arrived in Madrid yesterday for all the necessary checks, will therefore have to undergo an operation to have a clearer idea of the recovery process and therefore to try to speed it up. However, it seems very difficult to see him at the start already in the German MotoGP Grand Prix, scheduled for only a few days. But let’s remember that riders, MotoGP and beyond, are used to surprising us.
