The objectives of the market

Incoming the primary objectives are “a great centre-forward”, as Pradè says, and a couple of first-tier midfielders, above all a playmaker to whom we can put the team in control, a bit like it was for Arthur. The other players will come later, based on the sales and opportunities that will exist on the market. Many of the names linked to Fiorentina up to now were not very credible and sustainable, today profiles are approaching on which the Viola club will make its reflections.
Sorloth possible

One proposed in the last few days is certainly the Norwegian giant Sorloth, 29 years old in December, fresh from a great season at Villareal, globetrotter between the Premier, La Liga and Bundensliga, he has always scored goals. Transfermarkt values him at 25 million, Villareal a few more. At first glance, given his age, he would be outside Fiorentina’s parameters, but let’s remember that certain operations can give great results, think of Klose or Dzeko, but also others. I don’t make technical comparisons with the Norwegian, but sometimes the usefulness of certain players becomes an economic return. I wouldn’t focus on age if Palladino really likes the player. But in Pradè’s notebook there is also Lucca, already explored during his time at Pisa. Today he is a more mature player after his experience at Ajax and the year at Udinese which redeemed him. He is another structured centre-forward, as the new coach likes them.
On the horizon remains the Greek Pavlidis of AZ Alkmaar, followed for some time, but on whom Benfica fell with the usual rapidity. The deal is not closed, Fiorentina hopes.
In midfield?

The tensions are also tightening around the midfielder. Given that the operation with Sassuolo has become economically interesting, Maxime Lopez, backup director, could return. The attention these days, however, is focused above all on a player who has already been in Italy, but who Milan did not want to redeem. I’m talking about the Belgian Aster Vranckx, 22 years old, at the European Championship but yesterday he didn’t play, an interesting profile, a mix of a midfielder capable of seeing the game, but also a good ball retriever. He can play in a two-man midfield, but also in front of the defense or inside the three. He didn’t have a great season at Wolfsburg, he grew with the change of coach, but for his 22 years he has personality and physique. He arrived at Milan too soon. We are talking about ten million and the valuation is serious, there would be the coach’s approval. This could be a take home operation fairly quickly.
For the rest, contacts with prosecutors and intermediaries continue incessantly. Fiorentina promised an ambitious team and a great centre-forward. Let them work with the awareness that certain roles can no longer be mistaken as has happened in the last two years. I would add that, as far as I’m concerned, I would avoid resorting to borderline situations such as players to be recovered or relaunched (Jovic, Mina and others) who in the end brought little. The team that will be born needs certainties, especially in key roles, but Pradè knows this very well.
