Ducati will have to pay Fermín Aldeguer a high compensation if they don’t put him in MotoGP in 2025.

Fermín Aldeguer was announced in March as a Ducati rider in MotoGP from 2025, being placed in a satellite team. So far there has been no confirmation as to which team he will be in, also because it is believed that Prima Pramac could move to Ducati.

This would affect the supply of the latest version of the bike. On the other hand, his results this season have been anything but encouraging: only two podiums (one of them a victory) in seven races, while with a similar bike Sergio García leads the championship.

What would happen if Ducati ended up going backwards and not putting Aldeguer in MotoGP in 2025? Héctor Faubel, the rider’s manager, told Mundo Deportivo that the compensation would be huge: “It was reported that if Ducati told him he won’t be on the bike next year, he would receive compensation of 300,000 euros. It’s a lie. I can’t say the amount, but it would be much higher.”

In any case, the manager said he had received assurances from Ducati that there is no need to worry: “We don’t yet know which team he will race for, but Ducati told us to be very calm. They told us that they are counting on him and that we are at home.”
